When the allowance is large, it cannot Like a general-purpose milling machine, it is “responsible”, unless it can be considered in advance when programming, otherwise the milling cutter must return to the origin, and start processing from the beginning by changing the height of the cutting surface or increasing the compensation value of the tool radius, and take a few more cuts. However, this will inevitably lead to empty knives often in places with less margin, which reduces production efficiency. If the rigidity of the knives is good, it is not necessary to do this.
2) The durability of the milling cutter should be high, especially when a milling cutter processes a lot of content, if the tool is not durable and wears quickly, it will affect the surface quality and machining accuracy of the workpiece, and will increase the adjustment caused by tool change. The number of times of tool setting and tool setting will also leave a step on the working surface due to tool setting errors, which reduces the surface quality of the workpiece.
In addition to the above two points, the selection of the geometric angle parameters of the cutting edge of the milling cutter and the chip removal performance are also very important. It is very taboo in CNC milling to form built-up edge caused by chips sticking to the cutter.
